Birdie & Benjamin-sweet&gentle's story
Birdie and Benjamin are sweet, delightful siblings who are looking for a lifelong home together.
Benjamin is a big, cuddly purr-boy who loves to be in your lap or to be held in your arms. He will immediately start to purr and will sometimes tuck his head under your chin or under your arm. Benjamin will sometimes put his paws up on your legs asking to be picked up. Once Benjie is in your lap or in your arms, he doesn't want to leave. You can hold him tightly in your arms and he purrs happily. Benjie sometimes is so happy, and relaxed that he drools (just a little bit), which is very endearing. Benjamin has an unusual and beautiful coat/markings - dark brown with spots (spotted tabby) along with white. He is very striking.
Birdie also enjoys being held or to be in your lap, but her favorite thing in life is to play. She will look up at you and with a tiny 'mew' ask you to play with her. She has a favorite wand toy which she sometimes drags after her, but prefers if someone plays with her. Birdie has big, beautiful amber eyes with the most adorable face, and a coat of brown tabby with orange (torbie or patched tabby).
Birdie and Benjamin will sometimes chase each other around the house. Birdie's favorite place to sleep during the day is in a hideaway spot in a closet in her foster home. Benjamin likes to lounge at the top of a cat tree during the day. At night, if they aren't playing, you may find Benjamin cuddled next to you, and Birdie at the end of the bed or by your side. Benjamin and Birdie are both very gentle and don't bite or scratch, except their toys and cat trees. They love the cat trees and especially like the tunnel at the top of the tall cat tree in their safe room. The even allow their nails to be easily trimmed in one sitting.
Benjamin and Birdie were born outside near Wilmar, MN but were taken in when they were still young. They are more apprehensive with new people they don't know, but they are young and will be able to bond with a new person. When they go into a new home, it will take time for these cuties to adjust to a new environment, new people, new sounds, smells, etc. For about the first two weeks, they will likely be afraid, but as each day passes, they will get to know you. They respond well to being petted, and especially to playing with wand toys. It will take a special person who is able to understand their fear and to have the patience and understanding to earn their trust and love. In return, you will have playful, cuddly, gentle, loving companions.
Birdie and Benjamin have been neutered/spayed, vaccinated, have tested negative for FIV/Feline Leukemia, and their estimated date of birth is in February 2018. Due to their strong bond, and so they have a companion to play and cuddle with, these sweet siblings must be adopted as a pair. There is a reduced adoption fee for pair adoptions.
